NASA Announces New Astronaut Class with More Women Than Men

NASA has selected its latest class of 10 American astronauts for upcoming missions to the Moon and Mars. For the first time in history, women outnumber men in the new astronaut cohort, highlighting NASA’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion in space exploration.

This group of astronauts will undergo rigorous training to prepare for future missions, including work on the Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the lunar surface and eventually send crewed missions to Mars.

NASA officials praised the new class for their exceptional expertise in science, engineering, and piloting, noting that these astronauts represent the next generation of explorers who will push the boundaries of human spaceflight.
